DIY#FASHION AND STYLING TIPS# GIVE YOUR FESTIVE ENSEMBLE A QUIRKY TWIST

Fashion: GIVE YOUR FESTIVE ENSEMBLE A QUIRKY TWISTSparkling jewellery and dazzling ensembles – we absolutely love the festive season! What’s more, it gives us a chance to experiment with our ethnic wear and put our own quirky spin on festive ensembles. So this Diwali, swap your regular salwar kameez for a jumpsuit and jazz up a maxi dress with some stunning chand balis. It’s all about making a statement this season and we have five outfits that will ensure that you make heads turn.
Keep it Indian... but with a bold twist
White and neon along with flashes of gold makes for an interesting combination and is perfect to wear during the daytime to visit friends and relatives. Well, your look becomes all the more interesting if you add a big and bold neon bindi that is traditional yet chic at the same time. We suggest you make one by mixing lipstick shades to perfectly match the colour to your outfit.

Earrings
We gave our model a pair of gold hoops in traditional polki design. It made the outfit look more interesting and festive with details in pearls and diamonds.

Cuff and ring
A cuff in gold and pearls went very well with the rest of her outfit while a pearl cocktail ring is just perfect to add a western element to her otherwise Indian outfit.

Gold heels
A pair of peep-toe pumps in mesh gold completed the outfit.

Hair and makeup
A front braid with a slight bouffant, gold eyes and glossy pink lips gave a fresh look to her face while complementing her outfit superbly.

Ditch the monotonous look... try the Pagdi
A Patiala salwar and a shirt is definitely chic but what if tell you to add in a Pagdi? Use two of your dupattas to make a chic turban and amp it up by wearing a maang tikka over it. Or if you think a turban is not your style, then opting for a maang tikka alone will turn heads too.

Bangles
A pair of dull gold and boho bangles is just perfect to go with this outfit. Choose ones that are edgier like a rectangle or square kada style.

Bag
A sling bag is the perfect accessory to complement this outfit. Go in for a nude or monochrome one  to give your outfit all the attention it deserves.

Heels
A pair of gold heels or nude mojaris completes this kind of an ensemble. Heels add a touch of glam while mojaris lend a comfy chic look.

Hair and makeup
Tie your hair in a bun, define your eyes with kohl and go with tangerine on the lips for this look.

Yes you can... wear a jumpsuit!
Go bold or go home! Buy a jumpsuit in hot red and jazz it up further with striking gold accessories. Sync it in with the festive spirit by keeping your accessories Indian, yet bold and stylish.

Gold belt
Cinch your waist with a statement-making gold belt. Hot and sexy, we guarantee you will look festive and glamorous.

Wear a bold cuff in gold to go with your outfit. We love this one and would pair it with anything festive - saris, lehengas and kurtis.

Clutch
Opt for a clutch in an Indian design like this one in gold and multi-coloured stones with a peacock motif. It complements the jumpsuit so well while adding an Indian touch to her outfit.

Indian wedges
A pair of ornamented Indian wedge heels completes her outfit. Plus, it adds a touch of Indian to her otherwise western look.

Hair and makeup
A slick ponytail and red lips with defined eyes looks very elegant and does perfect justice to her outfit.

Head chain and more... a vintage princess!
An asymmetrical kaftan tunic and leggings is definitely festive but how about adding in a head chain and haath phools? Yes, we are talking jewellery that makes everyone go ‘aahhhhhhh’! A vintage princess look that exudes a quirky festive vibe. And if you are one of those who has to go to work during this festive week, all you have to do is carry the jewellery with you for an after work look.

Head chain
Get an instant makeover with a polki head chain. It not only makes you look like a vintage princess but also keeps your look Indian with a glam edge.

Haath phool
Match your haath phool to your maang tikka and wear on both your hands to complete your look. So chic and glam!

Heels
Nothing like a pair of gold heels or flats to complete this look. You could also try something in burnt copper or even burnt gold.

Hair and makeup
Straighten your hair and leave them open. Match your lip colour to that of your outfit.

Wear your party maxi dress... with an Indian touch
Whether you are spending some romantic time with your beau or enjoying a Diwali get-together with friends, we recommend a black maxi dress with chand balis. They add an Indian touch to your regular wardrobe and a festive feel in this case.

Chand balis
We gave this look some moon magic with chand balis that add an Indian touch to the maxi.

Ring
An oversized stunning ring in silver infused an interesting mix of silver and gold into the look.

Clutch
A sparkly clutch went well with the gold sequin details on her dress.

Heels
A pair of slingbacks in dull gold complete her outfit making her look very sophisticated.

Hair and makeup
Side-swept hair, plum lips and dark smudged eyes looked wow!
