DIY Ingredient Face Masks for Glowing, Flawless Skin

6. Papaya and Lemon Juice Face Mask

Papaya is an excellent ingredient to get glowing, flawless skin. It contains alpha-hydroxy acids that gently exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells.
This fruit also contains enzymes that combat wrinkles and prevent premature aging. Plus, both papaya and lemon have skin-lightening properties that reduce the appearance of acne scars and blemishes.

1. Take ½ cup of blended ripe papaya pulp.

2. Mix in the juice of 1 lemon.

Slather this papaya face mask on your face and neck. Leave it on for about 20 minutes, then rinse it off with cool water. Use it once a week. When preparing this mask, make sure to peel and de-seed the papaya before blending it.

7. Aloe Vera and Green Tea Face Mask

Loaded with vitamins, minerals and amino acids, aloe vera is another superb ingredient for your skin. In fact, it is also used in various cosmetics. It helps fade dark spots and blemishes, and is effective for reducing a suntan.
Green tea, a storehouse of antioxidants, is also a skin-nourishing ingredient that gives you a clearer complexion and fights the signs of premature aging. Plus, both ingredients fight acne and pimples, thanks to their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

1. Put 2 to 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel in a blender.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of green tea.

Spread this face mask on your face and neck, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse it off. Use it a few times a week.
To extract aloe vera gel from an aloe leaf, slit it open and remove its gel using a knife or just scoop out the gel using a spoon.

8. Green Tea Bag and Honey Face Mask

Having made your green tea, do not discard the green tea bag. You can use it to make an ingenious face mask! It will give you the benefits of green tea and additionally work as an exfoliant to purge impurities. Plus, when combined with honey, it will be soothing to your skin.

1. Tear open a used green tea bag and transfer its contents to a bowl.

2. Mix in 1 to 2 teaspoons of raw honey.

Apply this face mask on your face and rub it gently for exfoliation. Leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse it off. You can use this beauty recipe once or twice a week.
Note: This face mask may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin.
