New Market
It is the oldest and most well known market of Kolkata also known as the Hogg’s market. It has over 2000 stalls and works in your favour if you have good bargaining skills. The reconstructed section of the market sells very good bridal sarees and the market is all up on sale in the evening for jewellery and bags.
Location: Lindsay Street, just off Chowringhee Road.
Opening hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and until 2.30pm on Saturday. Closed on Sunday.

Natraj Market
If you are looking for an outfit for every occasion like a sangeet, mehendi, haldi or even the main wedding reception, head to Natraj market in Mumbai. Apart from the sarees, lehengas and cholis, you will be able to find jewellery, shoes and bags.
