Going great lengths – here’s how to wear elongated maxis with voluminous trousers

Last we saw knee length maxi blouses and trousers inter-mingling in the same ensemble it was decades ago. But the trend is now making a raving comeback, in some reformed silhouettes and we, like always, are scouting the trend for you. These elegantly elongated silhouettes and knee-length maxi tops coupled with cropped pants are one of the biggest trends of the season.

Slit maxi tops in prints and flowy silhouettes are the newest way to make a subtle yet edgy fashion statement. Pick these separates in polka dots or floral prints in varieties of slits and team them with slim-fitted pants to balance out a formal look.

If you are anything like us and are a sucker for all things pristine, then a classic white maxi blouse might be what catches your eye, making it the perfect way for you to embrace this new length. Available in various cuts and patterns these white silhouettes are perfect for an easy breezy brunch look.

This is the look that spells ‘art crowd’ louder than any other.  If you are big on black then go ahead and embrace this trend in all its noir-glory. A black maxi blouse in lace or polyester with string waist styling in a multitude of styles and closed collars are all a good idea when you have an evening event to attend, artsy or otherwise.

One of the many drool worthy variations to this elongated silhouette trend is the wrapped blouse in flowy fabrics and asymmetrical hemlines. You can also opt for Maxi tops in closed and cut way necks for a casual day look.  Pick these in easy fabrics that will let you breeze around in comfort.

Elongated shirts with collars are the more formal way in which you can ace this trend. Get a checkered-print shirt or a classic denim shirt and a side slit hem and sport the look at a formal do.

Knee-length tunics in varied hem lines and exaggerated cuts teamed with voluminous trousers are streamlined for a workplace wardrobe. Wear these in gorgeous shades of grey and navy and team them with silk trousers for an uber stylish chic look.
