You don’t need a needle or thread for any of these easy hacks. In
some cases all you need is a pair of kind-of-sharp scissors. There’s not
one stitch of sewing involved in any of these
DIYs. If you’re looking for quick and easy ways to customise your jens short, or turn your boring tee into preety,
these are the hacks for you. Even if you’re not into customizing
everything you own, like we are, some of these ideass might convince you
to give it a try.
Check out these 15 simple no sew clothing hacks that anyone can do:
1. embellished collar
This is the easiest DIY in the book. It will take you longer to buy the gemstones than it will to glue them on.
2.
2. SPINE CUTOUT
There’s no instructions needed for this one. All you need to do is
grab your scissors and start cutting. I would recommend you draw a rough
design first, and look at a few anatomy books.
3.
. Colored Distressed Jeans
You’ve probably attempted to distress your jeans with a cheese
grater, because you find it ridiculous to pay $170 for a pair of
“artfully” destroyed ones. Have you ever thought to color the frayed
edges? Didn’t think so.
4. DYED FRINGE TOP
How do you make a fringed top even better? You dye the hem a contrasting color, and tie a few knots in the fringe, that is how.
5. GRADIENT COLOR
OMBRE IS EVERYWHERE at the moment. If you don’t want to dye your hair, why not dye your shirt?
6.KNOT DRESS
Of all the ways to
repurpose a t-shirt, this easy knotted dress is one of my favorites. Plus, cutouts are a major trend this summer.
7. GLITTER SWEAT SHIRT
Fabric glue solves almost all of non-sewers’ problems. It will even
allow you to make a contrasting sweatshirt. Just make sure you pick a
fabric that doesn’t fray, unless that’s the look you’re going for.
8. BLEACH SPLATTER JEANS
This is the less hippie version of tie dye. Just remember to wear
something you don’t care about or you could end up with a wardrobe full
of bleach splatter print clothes.
9. BASKET WEAVE T SHIRT
This could take a long time to do (and it may give you carpal
tunnel), but it looks waaaaaaay more interesting than your standard
fringed top.
10. STRAP AND STRIPE BLEACH SHORTS
I like that the bleach gel gives the pattern a more subtle, worn-in
look. I’m tempted to try this and add dye to the bleach for a pastel
print.
11.SHIMMERY STRIPES
Adding some sparkly stripesTURNS YOUR BORING TEE into a much prettier new-ish one.
12 SWEATER SKIRT
No, you really don’t need to sew those rough edges. A sweatshirt edge won’t fray.
13. RIPPED STUDDED POCKET
This is such an interesting look compared to the typical studded
cuffs. It doesn’t matter how uncomfortable it would be to sit on,
because it looks too good not to try.
14. AZTEC PRINT HEM
Doodling with Sharpies on clothing is a much better idea than
scribbling on paper because you can wear your one-of-a-kind artwork.
15. ONE SHOULDER SHIRT
The tied side eliminates the need to sew anything, and it also creates a cute ruffled look.
